'Significant winter storm' on its way to P.E.I. this weekend, says Environment Canada
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement Friday afternoon for Queens and Kings counties. It warns of total snowfall between five and 15 centimetres with wind gusts of 80 to 100 km/h from Sunday into Monday. "Strong winds accompanying the snow will cause reduced visibility at times in blowing snow," the special weather statement reads.
