Personnel from 34 Squadron RAF Regiment and No 609 (West Riding) Squadron Royal Auxiliary Air Force (RAuxAF) have attended the funeral of Sir Rex Hunt, former Governor of the Falkland Islands.
Alastair Bidwell, 55, served for 12 years in the RAF Regiment – a unit tasked with defending air bases, supporting special forces and providing forward air control and ground combat support.
The campaign is also looking to attract logistics personnel and RAF Reserve Regiment gunners, who are trained as specialists in combat tactics, weaponry, fieldcraft and force protection.
