The Kansas City Chiefs are set to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on “Monday Night Football” in Week 9. While the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes have dominated the NFL in recent years, the Buccaneers once served as a roadblock on Kansas City’s road to greatness.

Standing a few hundred yards from his greatest career achievement, Bucs head coach and former defensive coordinator Todd Bowles had an intentional memory lapse. He said he couldn’t recall the brilliant game plan from Super Bowl 55 that he used to keep Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs from scoring a touchdown in a 31-9 win that gave the Bucs their second Lombardi Trophy.

After the win, Mahomes decided to hand over the game ball to a young fan who was in a wheelchair. The Chiefs superstar voiced out his appreciation to the kid for supporting the team as Mahomes gifted him with a precious memento from the game.
