Rumors of the seemingly imminent arrival of Nintendo's Switch 2 may continue to pop up online, but Nintendo may not be the only gaming handheld this year with detachable controllers you can use independently from the main body.

With CES in full swing, fans are being treated to new hardware announcements from the likes of Acer, Lenovo and more.

Acer is showing off its latest handheld gaming PCs, in the shape of the Nitro Blaze 11 and 8, and they're more than just a Steam Deck copy.

Acer jammed a Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch together at CES 2025, and the result is the massive Nitro Blaze 11 handheld gaming PC. It starts at $1,099, and Acer's also selling a smaller version ($899 to start) with controllers you can't detach.

Acer’s Nitro Blaze handheld now comes in 8-inch and extra-large 11-inch varieties, though you may prefer the new, slim Predator Helios.
