Formula 1 had issued a statement on the way team radio messages were broadcasted during the Chinese GP. In terms of the conversation between Riccardo Adami and Lewis Hamilton, it was not played on air that Hamilton himself suggested the swap.

F1 have responded to Ferrari calling their selected radio message broadcasts as a "joke". F1 have already held talks with Ferrari over the radio message broadcast which angered the team. Ferrari accused F1 of a deliberate attempt to stir up drama surrounding a driver swap involving Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc in Sunday’s Chinese Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton was disqualified from the Chinese Grand Prix alongside his Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc with the seven-time champion unhappy with his new team
