Five journalists have been killed in an overnight Israeli strike that hit their vehicle in Gaza, a hospital and their news outlet said in a statement on Thursday.

Israeli forces killed Palestinian journalist Omar al-Dirawi along with his parents in a strike on their home in central Gaza on Friday. Dirawi, who worked for various media outlets, is the 202nd journalist to have been killed by the Israeli army in Gaza since the start of the war in October 2023, according to Gaza’s government media office.

Quds News Network reported that its journalists were killed in an airstrike while they were in a van parked outside of a hospital in Gaza.
