HOUSTON – The Houston Zoo has announced it will close on Tuesday ahead of the winter storm.

Despite a rare winter storm bringing snow to the area, road closures and even H-E-B shortening its hours, some Houston restaurants and bars plan to open Tuesday. It’s still business as usual for many eating-and-drinking establishments across the city cooking up everything from steaming bowls of soup or to comforting barbecue.
