A furniture and appliance retailer is closing all of its stores following the bankruptcy of its parent company.

All six of New York's American Freight furniture stores will be closing as a result of its parent company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, the company announced earlier this week. New York isn't the only state affected though as Ohio-based Franchise Group Inc.

California isn't the only state affected, though, as Ohio-based American Freight is shuttering all of its 328 locations across the U.S.
