Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, is ready to give his green light for the sale of at least five players in the squad when the January window opens. Since arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer, Maresca has gone about trimming the number of players available to him.

Chelsea have been the biggest spenders in world football since the takeover of Todd Boehly and Clearlake in 2022, splashing out more than €1.4billion on players in that time.

Chelsea intend to move a number of players on during the January transfer window, with five names on the chopping block. The Blues still have a huge amount of players after a very busy couple of years in the transfer market and there have been extremely limited first team opportunities for some as a result.

Chelsea could reportedly replace one of their attackers in the January transfer window next month if a decision is made very soon. Chelsea are not expected to be one of the busy clubs during the winter window which is always much slower and less busier than the summer window anyway.
