Reserve defensive back Jacoby Mathews is no longer on the Tigers’ roster, an Auburn spokesperson confirmed to AL.com. Mathews is no longer listed on the online roster and wasn’t included on Auburn’s Week 1 depth chart.

For starters, both teams are under first-year head coaches who previously had impressive tenures with Group of Six programs, with Jon Sumrall representing Florida and Alex Golesh at the helm of the Auburn Tigers.

Auburn football will host the Florida Gators in Jordan-Hare Stadium for the first time since 2011, and the Tigers' first performance against another SEC team will be telling for how the rest of the season will go.
