An issue with the rearview cameras in several makes and models of Volvo vehicles has caused a massive recall involving 413,151 cars. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recalled vehicles may not display a rear camera image when put into reverse, increasing the risk of a crash.

Volvo said the rearview camera image “does not display” and can reduce the driver's view – increasing the risk of a crash.

Swedish automaker Volvo Cars is recalling 413,151 vehicles in the United States over an issue with the rearview camera, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said.
