The latest round of announcements brings us someone entirely new and from well outside the military-industrial complex to head the Department of Defense. In a brilliant and unconventional move, President-elect Trump has selected Pete Hegseth as the next Secretary of Defense.

The “Fox and Friends” presenter, 44, served tours in Afghanistan and Iraq and holds degrees from both Princeton and Harvard.
