Ukrainian authorities are enlisting European help to increase domestic military production as the United States pauses some weapons shipments to Ukraine.

Putin call comes after the U.S. said it would halt some weapons shipments to Ukraine, which continues to fight off invading Russian forces.

The U.S. said a day prior that it would pause the delivery of some weapons to Ukraine as the Pentagon conducts a review of its munition stockpiles.

An emboldened Russia has ramped up military offensives on two fronts in Ukraine, scattering Kyiv’s precious reserve troops and threatening to expand the fighting to a new Ukrainian region as each side seeks an advantage before the fighting season wanes in the autumn.
