Brooks openly admitted that he was indeed targeting Curry's thumb. This did not stop Curry from averaging exceptional numbers and facilitating his team's win in the series. He averaged 24.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.7 assists in the seven games so far in the Playoffs.

In Game 1 between the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves, Stephen Curry left the game after suffering a hamstring injury at the 8:48 mark of the second quarter. After Brandon Podziemski subbed in for Curry, the star guard did not return for the rest of the night.

The Warriors play the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the playoffs. Curry and Co. beat the Houston Rockets in the first round in seven games. Golden State only had one day off between Game 7 of the Rockets series and Game 1 of the Timberwolves series.
