The search for missing bodies is ongoing along Texas’ Guadalupe River after catastrophic and deadly flooding killed at least 89 people following a torrential downpour early Friday morning.

At Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp in Hunt, Texas, where officials are grieving the loss of 27 children and counselors, belongings of the young campers are strewn about the flooded floors of a dormitory, while other items, including a pink backpack and a Camp Mystic t-shirt, were found along the bloated Guadalupe River, photos show.

The torrential rain that brought destruction to a children’s summer camp and other holiday spots in rural Texas came with devastating speed. Water came crashing through the stone cabins of Camp Mystic in the early hours of Friday with little warning as the girls and staff slept.
