Brett Baty returned from Triple-A on Monday as the roster sub for Jesse Winker, who will miss the next six to eight weeks with an oblique strain.

New York Mets infielder Brett Baty has had the full fringe big-league player experience just a few weeks into the season. The 25-year-old started the year at the top level before being optioned to the minors on April 24. The Mets (23-13) then called him back up to the majors on Monday.
