Abu Dhabi-based technology company MGX, BlackRock, Microsoft and Global Infrastructure Partners have launched an artificial intelligence infrastructure investment partnership that aims to mobilise up to $100 billion in investments to enhance the future of AI.

MGX said the investments, which seek to fuel AI innovation and economic growth, will be chiefly in the US and the remainder in partner countries.

Run through BlackRock's Global Infrastructure Partners fund, which it acquired for $12.5bn earlier this year, the 'Global AI Investment Partnership,' plans to raise up to $30bn in equity investments. Another $70bn could come via leveraged debt financing.
