Kim Caldwell and the Lady Vols will be at Austin-East on Sunday to work a basketball clinic with Nicky Anosike and Girls Inc.

Zee Spearman, Jewel Spear had key performances and Lady Vols found some success with the press in Kim Caldwell's first win at Tennessee.

Tennessee (1-0) opened its 2024-25 women's basketball season on Tuesday at Food City Center. The Lady Vols defeated Samford, 101-53. Tuesday's contest also marked the beginning of the Kim Caldwell era at Tennessee.

Kim Caldwell picked up her first win as the head coach of the Lady Vols on Tuesday. Tennessee racked a program-record 25 steals in its 101-53 victory.

It was a great showing on Wednesday night in Thompson-Boling Arena for Kim Caldwell’s debut as the new coach of the famed Tennessee Lady Volunteers. Her style, described as unapologetic and unique, was on full display on both sides of the ball.

Tennessee (1-0) defeated Samford (0-1), 101-53, on Tuesday at Food City Center. Tuesday's contest was the first for Tennessee under head coach Kim Caldwell. Caldwell was hired as Tennessee's head coach in April.

Spearman led with 25 points. Four others scored in double-figures, including Spear with 18, Cooper with 19, Spencer with 12 and Whitehorn with 10.
