The disruption caused due to the pull out of Chinese staff by Foxconn Technology Group from India will be "temporary", according to sources within the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

The move comes months after officials in Beijing verbally encouraged regulatory agencies and local governments to limit technology transfers and export of equipment to India and Southeast Asia

The move was reportedly taken due to Chinese restrictions on labour and tech exports, which could disrupt Apple's scaling efforts in India and affect the broader 'Make in India' initiative aimed at transforming India into a global electronics manufacturing hub.
