After Sunday's win, the NBA's Twitter/X account noted that Carlisle had made a bit of history, moving himself up in the all-time playoff wins for coaches. It was his 76th postseason win, which moved him to 14th all-time on the list, past the legendary duo of Don Nelson and Chuck Daly.

The road to the conference finals no longer goes through Cleveland. The top-seeded Cavs lost their first game of the NBA playoffs to the fourth-seeded Indiana Pacers on Sunday night, 121-112, inside a stunned Rocket Arena.
