Slay was seen limping off the field as the play went to the other side. He went into the medical tent as Isaiah Rodgers replaced him. Slay then came out of the tent and walked gingerly to the locker room, clearly favoring his leg.

Isaiah Rodgers is just appreciative of the opportunity he's getting with the Philadelphia Eagles. Out of football due to suspension a year ago, Rodgers has been biding his time wanting to show the franchise it made the right move taking a chance on him.

Isaiah Rodgers will start his first game at cornerback for the Eagles in place of an injured Darius Slay. Slay will miss Sunday's game with a groin injury, and with the Birds being a tight-knit unit, Rodgers paid homage to the Pro Bowl cornerback.

But they won't have cornerback Darius Slay and tight end Dallas Goedert this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Slay suffered a groin injury last Sunday in the Eagles' 37-17 win over the Bengals. Goedert, meanwhile, will miss his third straight game with a hamstring injury.
