A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of the Denver metro and eastern Colorado until 9 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Get ready for a lot of sun on Monday with a chance of severe storms for the Denver metro area and Eastern Colorado.

Here comes another round of afternoon and evening thunderstorms on Monday and a few could be strong to severe, particularly east of the Front Range. If you’re planning to be outdoors either day, be sure to keep an eye on the sky and have a way to get weather alerts- these storms could develop quickly.
