After hitting one clutch shot, De'Aaron Fox's apparent game-winning 3 at the buzzer was waved off by the referees because he did not get it off on time.

San Antonio Spurs star De’Aaron Fox nearly went 2-0 with his new team. He hit a clutch three-pointer to give San Antonio a win against the Charlotte Hornets. Unfortunately for the Spurs, the shot didn’t count since the ball wasn’t out of his hands in time.

The Spurs came out flat and dug themselves into a double-digit hole. They came close to completing the comeback but Fox’s would-be game-winner was late.
