The Supreme Court has transferred 24 petitions related to alleged anti-competitive practices by Amazon and Flipkart to the Karnataka High Court’s single-judge bench in Dharwad. The move followed agreement by all parties and a request from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to consolidate the cases for efficiency.

The decision comes after CCI’s plea to consolidate over 20 writ petitions filed by e-retailers of Amazon and Flipkart in various High Court

The Supreme Court has directed the consolidation of petitions by Amazon and Flipkart challenging a CCI probe into alleged malpractices at the Karnataka High Court, amidst various filings in multiple courts regarding the investigation initiated by complaints from retail associations.

The order came after both the CCI and e-commerce sellers on the two platforms agreed to transfer the cases as the Karnataka High Court had already been hearing the matter.

The Supreme Court has transferred petitions by Amazon and Flipkart from various high courts to the Karnataka High Court. These petitions challenge a Competition Commission of India order for a probe into alleged malpractices by the e-commerce giants.
