Before you make the drive up to the observatory ,phone first to see if it is open,the weather changes very quickly,mist or fog as brits call it makeing visibility too dangerous. Park out side the entrance and someone will show you where to park,they are very obligeing.

I purchased mine online using my iPad. Then emailed them to reception and asked them to print them. When I got to the observatory they already had me down on a list and I wondered if a picture of the ticket on my iPad would have been sufficient. You can also buy them at the cable car to tired but that is for that day so you need to be there early and obviously subject to availability. You could also buy them before you go online.
