The Scott monument over shadows princess street gardens And the street . Look closely And you can see his dog at his feet . A few of the cities statues have dogs with them . Full review by DintyS

The Scott Monument is found near the station and a cross from Edinburgh Castle. The monument looks stunning and it's free to view. Full review by Violence J

hi entrance is £5 see info below. There are 287 steps to the top of the Scott Monument, from where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Edinburgh and the surrounding countryside. Find out about Sir Walter Scott and the monument in the museum room. During adverse weather conditions (high winds especially) please check our Twitter feed @EdinCulture before travelling as the monument may be closed at short notice for safety reasons.
