Is there any way to see the Lucy fossil in person, not just the replica on display?

I imagine that the original must be stored in a very safe place and perhaps not even in Ethiopia. But if you close your eyes and then look at the remains of Lucy the effect is just the same.
Is there a cloakroom where we can leave large bags whilst we visit the museum?
A:
No but if you Ask they might be able to store it somewhere for you but personally with all the security checks getting in I’d say your better leaving it at your hotel
