On the way back from LA, I stopped by La Jolla Beach. It smelled pretty bad, but we got to see seals up close, which was a unique experience I could not really get at other beaches. Full review by Carlos S

Smelly but righteous to see the sea lions and seals. The bird poop is what makes it so stinky I think. The sight of the unique animals was worth the smell we endured. Full review by Scott C

From what I seen, they are basically there all day. To avoid the larger crowds and to find decent parking, come in the morning

Water will still be a bit cold even in the summer months, typical of ocean temperatures.

No admission fee. It is a park, really. The only difficulty is finding parking. You might have to circle around several times to find a spot, or park a ways away and walk down to the area. …
