Thanks for your interest in visiting us! While we love dogs, we do not allow them into the buildings because of artifact conservation reasons. We welcome visitors to take their pups for a hike on our Merry Christmas Mine Hill which covers 43 acres and has over a mile of trails. You can stop in the visitor's center to pick up a guide for your hike.
How much time does a tour take? I plan on visiting other historical sites on the same day; but unsure if that is realistic or not. TIA

From our recollection and records, perhaps 1& 1/2 hours at the most per all of the group questions! We did it all in one day from RACINE and stayed at Quality Inn in Mineral Point one visit and at the Shake Rag Carriage House on another! We have also combined classes with an overnight trip too! ENJOY!
