Northlake is a suburban area located in central Anderson County at 34°33′46″N 82°41′25″W / 34.56278°N 82.69028°W, bordering the north side of Anderson, the county seat. The CDP is on both sides of an arm of Lake Hartwell, a large reservoir and recreation area. Interstate 85 forms the northern boundary of the CDP, leading northeast 27 miles to Greenville and southwest 120 miles to Atlanta. Exits 19 and 21 serve the community.
